A Workshop That Transforms Learning

Presentations with Meaning.

The presentation workshop at CreaNova School is a transformative experience for students. Designed to improve oral expression and help them overcome the fear of public speaking, this space fosters key skills such as research, organizing ideas, creativity, and connecting prior knowledge with new learning.

Students start with topics that capture their interest, encouraging active participation from the very beginning. The process of searching for and selecting bibliographic information, visiting libraries or bookstores, using digital resources, involving family members (among other alternatives), and working to understand and synthesize content in their own words makes this a truly meaningful learning experience. New knowledge builds upon what they already know, helping them expand and deepen their understanding.

Throughout the course, students develop confidence speaking in front of their peers. Additionally, the presentations not only spark interest in new topics but also motivate students to learn independently and explore their own preferences. This workshop places the student at the center of learning: they are responsible for organizing, researching, synthesizing, and presenting, while the teacher acts as a guide and facilitator. This strengthens their autonomy and fosters active participation, encouraging them to learn with greater enthusiasm and curiosity.

A standout feature of the workshop is the creative component: each presentation includes a practical element made at home, which also fosters family involvement, promoting collaborative and meaningful learning. This approach not only reinforces the bond between the student and their environment but also develops their ability to express ideas in innovative ways.

Moreover, the workshop promotes a comprehensive and cross-disciplinary learning experience, encouraging topics that incorporate or enhance multiple languages, thereby expanding students’ communication skills and global perspective. Listening to their peers’ presentations allows the group to discover new areas of interest, strengthening their motivation and connection to learning.

In essence, the presentation workshop is an educational tool that not only enhances students’ communication skills but also encourages active knowledge construction, family involvement, and learning that leaves a lasting impact.
