Congratulations again on CreaNova! This time it was thanks to the participation of the ESO4 student, Sara Zarzuelo, in the 10th edition of the Llegim Ciència Prize at the University of Vic.
The event is organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology through the Science and Society science outreach program, and aims to arouse interest in science literature in adolescents. In total, in this edition, 93 stories from ESO 3 and ESO 4 students from 17 secondary schools from all over Catalonia and 1 from Valencia were presented.
In this tenth edition, the competition has started from the reading of the novel El camí de la pesta (Capital Books, 2016) by Daniel Closa, to propose two types of story from which students could choose. In the first, with a narrative text, they were asked to propose an alternative ending to the novel. Instead, in the second, also with a narrative format, a popular science text had to be written about effective molecules to fight the plague bacterium.
Our student Sara has chosen the alternative ending and this has been her opinion of the reading of the book and the process:
‘It was a fun read because it mixed intrigue and mystery with science, and I’m passionate about both topics! I couldn’t stop reading waiting for what would happen on the next page… ‘
Through this link you can read+ about the event.
Thank you Sara for sharing your curiosity about science and your sensitivity to literature! Everyone who enjoys your moments at CreaNova is very proud of you and… CONGRATULATIONS!
