Science Week at CreaNova

CreaNova's Science Week has been very exciting and enriching since its beginning. with the INSPIRA STEAM projectwhere the students of the da Vinci group have delved into the world of science and technology and, above all, the approach and presence of women in science.

It is worth highlighting the transversality of the activities, proposals and workshops throughout the week, one of the distinguishing features of CreaNova's Educational Project.

We have seen the groups of Initiation, Meeting and Assembly speechless with the dramatisations that the Middle school students have made of different scientists explaining who they are and what they have invented.
The Batxillerat students, Plato (4th ESO) and Hawking (2nd ESO) have been commenting and debating science topics through current articles and a couple of Batxillerat students have presented several experiments to Galileu's group about non-Newtonian liquids or how to catch fire without burning!
The Picasso group (3rd ESO) have learnt about science through the workshops 'Light yourself with circuits' and 'Motors and Speakers, what do they have in common?
Picasso and Plato also gave a workshop on scientific myths. Some of these legends have served and continue to serve to transmit a particular vision of the world.
The students of Initiation, Meeting and Assembly have enjoyed the activity of the "Mystery boxes" in the English workshop, in which the students were presented with different boxes that contained some material inside. The first phase consisted of finding out which object was inside without opening it. While they tried to find out which object it contained, through observation and manipulation, they had to write down all their perceptions on a sheet of paper and then the conclusions they drew from these observations. Afterwards, they had to distinguish between the results obtained and hold a discussion among the members of the same team. Finally, each team pooled their observations and conclusions from each of the chapters on the board. From here we discussed the results box by box, a fact that showed different points of view and we had to reach an agreement...what a great time we had!

Genetics, Descartes and Pythagoras and the monocord have completed the activities and workshops of this wonderful Science Week at CreaNova!

Thank you all for your cooperation!
