For the grandparents'-week, we connected to one student's family who are living in New Zealand in English Class.
That was quite an experience because we got to learn a lot about this far far away country as well as our student’s family background. The youngsters asked them all kinds of questions; personal ones like their favorite food, favorite city or political ones like the indigenous cultures of New Zealand or climate change over there. They explained their experiences like how they met and their travels around globe.It was very interesting to connect to lives on the other side of the planet.
