Three 3rd year ESO students (Picasso group), Pablo de la Nuez, Artur Blanch and Andrés García, have participated this year in the 8th Literary Competition Llegim Ciència Award proposed by the University of Vic.
This activity is included within the Science and Society Program of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer from UVic-UCC.
The Llegim Ciència Prize (PLC) allows us to unite Science and Literature, promoting reading and stimulating students' writing skills.
This year the reading of the work "Darwin's assistant» by Vicente Muñoz Puelles. This novel is based on the life and accounts of Darwin's assistant on board the Beagle. The author recounts the expedition that will make history from the point of view of a 15-year-old boy, Syms Covington.

This competition is part of the Impuls de la Lectura proposal of the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya to promote reading as a learning tool in different fields of knowledge.
