We have an urban garden!

From the youngest to the 1st year of ESO the pupils have been able to learn how, when, what and why of aromatic plants, medicinal plants and other fruits and vegetables that the earth gives us.

Taking advantage of the good weather and being a time of growth and planting of new seeds these last weeks by the hand of the Regina (gardening specialist) and the Montse (mother of the school, precursor of the compostatge at home)Through different workshops, the Elementary students have had the opportunity to get used to the gardening, l'urban garden i the compostatge.

We have taken care of the space, we have prepared the soil and we have decided, together, how to organise our garden: Aloe Vera, buds, encyams, carabasses, maduixes, tomàquets, mint, carxofes, romaní, farigola...each plant and each species with its own personality so that they have a privileged place taking into account the depth and quality of the soil, the hours of sunshine, and other particularities such as growth rate and the amount of water they need...

Did you know that there are cuckoos that are very useful? Did you know that Romani means Rosmarinus Officinalis en llatí? i...que el Thymus vulgaris també es pot dir timó, timonet, tomell o farigola?

At CreaNova we have again applied theaprendre fent in all its essence!

Thank you Regina and Montse for your explanations and dedication to all of us!
