Throughout this week we have been working through different projects on peace to commemorate the International Day of Peace and Non-violence (30th anniversary – anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi - India, 1869-1948).
The debates, the assemblies, the dialogue and the consensus have been the common denominators of these days, according to the essence of our Educational Project, based on respect, tolerance and the sharing of opinions. Hem anat enrere en el temps, remuntant-nos fins a l'actualitat i adonant-nos-en que encara ens se mult de camí per fer, but with the attempt to fer valid the paraules of Gandhi himself: 'No hi ha camí per a la pau; 'la pau es el camí!'
The smallest have identified who are the symbols of La Pau (colom, crane, olive branch, rainbow, white mans...) and their origin but, more and more, they have created their own symbols, explaining to us the seu significat.
And the greatest things we have had are a great journey in the times and all the world to connect with the guardians with the Nobel Peace Prize and to know who has been in charge of the six actions: International Red Creed, Roosevelt, Jane Addams, Martin Luther King, UNICEF, Mare Teresa of Calcutta, Rigoberta Menchú, Nelson Mandela, Metges Sense Fronteres, Al Gore, Malala Yousafzai.
We treballat cançons and we fet our own versions of lyrics so conegudes as: Imagine (John Lennon), I wouldn't hesitate (Antonio Flores), Heal the World (Michael Jackson), Resist and scream (Txarango).
The families have participated from home and have finally arrived at the Pau's six misses that we have planned for the Pau tree that we had at the school.
Through literature, specifically poetry, we find ourselves in the magical world of feelings and emotions and we express anger, illusion and joy in the world. (Ben aviat podreu veure el recull de petits contes i poemes que hem fet!).
Thank you all for bringing together women every day a lot better! Per cert… we invite you to arrive and reflect on the poem 'You could' by Joana Raspall, published in 1998 but 20 years later it is fully valid... Gaudiu-ne!
