Infant and Primary: the first steps

By Moya Butxón
Coordinator of Elementary and Middle at CreaNova School

From the Early Childhood stage and throughout the Primary years, our goal is to respond to the needs of each child. Emotional well-being and respect for their individual learning pace are a priority; we listen to them and support them, creating a close bond so they feel safe.

Every child is unique, as are their stages of development in all areas. We take them into account as we guide them on their journey of growth and learning. We provide a safe environment and a wide range of learning opportunities, with a focus on learning through the senses, especially in the early years, and always through experiences connected to children's reality and interests.

Mathematics, scientific experimentation and the constant use of language are at the heart of our routines, along with artistic expression and creativity.

Nur groups are multi-level (vertical grouping) to provide a rich experience that not only provides opportunities for students to learn together, but also normalises the concept of real diversity, where each individual is at different stages of their learning process in various areas. This encourages the development of self-confidence, teamwork and a sense of acceptance of individuality.

Students progressively develop their independence and socio-emotional skills. We support their natural curiosity and motivation for learning, encouraging inquiry and enthusiasm. Gradually, our students learn to be autonomous, to communicate with others, to be responsible, and to show respect.

The warm and caring support of our professionals, along with close collaboration with families, allows us to personalize and offer the best opportunities for our students.
