Although each day is different, in this first decade of life there are many memories and sensations that are repeated.
The alarm clock rings and the tiredness is noticeable, but the excitement is stronger. After months of intense preparation, space adjustments, materials and endless meetings, everything is ready. Today is the day.
The September sun casts its first shadows on the “hill,” where birds sing and life unfolds. Walking around and checking that everything is in its place, we observe insects, a moulting snake, and the burrows of rabbits that are already familiar with the garden.
From today, a group of boys and girls will have to learn to share this space, without interrupting the life that has already been established. This hill will become a symbol of the school, transforming over time, just like the people who live there.
Excitement takes hold of the hearts of educators. The doors open and there they are: children, families and educators, united by a common dream and a vision of life. They are looking for a place where they can learn, grow and innovate in a coherent way, forming a plural and nature-friendly society/school.
The morning is spent in comings and goings, clever questions and natural situations of crying and laughing. These moments, far from being uncomfortable, are opportunities to build on dialogue, with commitment and respect. Living spaces, although complex, are rich in possibilities and experience, requiring reflection, creativity and constructive criticism.
Today, ten years later, we celebrate the strength and commitment that brought us together. CreaNova continues to open its doors every day with the same enthusiasm and strength as in September 2015.
Congratulations, CreaNova School!
