During Grandparents Week, we connected with a student's family living in New Zealand.
Taking advantage of one of the English workshops, it was quite an experience because we were able to learn a lot about this faraway country and about our student's ancestors. The young people asked them all kinds of questions; personal ones like their favorite food, favorite city or politicians... about the indigenous cultures of New Zealand or climate change. They explained their experiences, how they met and their travels around the world. It was very interesting to connect with lives on the other side of the planet.
